The morning-after pill must be taken as quickly as possible after an unprotected sexual relation (e.g. no use of birth control, forgot to take the pill, torn condoms) in order to reduce the risk of a possible pregnancy.

The “morning after pill” provides at once a strong dose of hormones. It should be taken as quickly as possible after an unprotected sexual act, maximum 120 hours after (around 5 days). The earlier you take it, the much the contraception is effective, but there is no 100% chance that it will work.

You can get the “after pill” in any pharmacy for free or alternatively at the service called “Planning Familial” (Family planning center).

If you still have no method of birth control, then you should choose one that suits you and that will protect you from undesired pregnancy.
